Jesus brought some hard truths to the 1st century culture when He walked the earth for 33 years. Some people loved him while others hated him and wanted him dead. Some things never change. America is becoming increasingly secular and anti-Christian attitudes and behaviors are gaining ground. Homeschooling brings with it an unhealthy stigma along with a unique set of challenges. Welcome to life as a Christ follower. So, how do you live it out successfully? How do you relate to and interact with outsiders? How do you handle relationships with the LGBTQ people in your life? How do you stand strong in the faith despite opposition, rejection, and outright hatred?

Earning early college credit is a smart strategy for homeschool families, but it requires thoughtful choices if you want to keep Christ at the center of your student’s education. College advisor and homeschool mom Shellie Doub will explain how the dual-credit trend sweeping the nation can help your student save on the cost of college and successfully earn early college credit without compromising your beliefs. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to know if your student is ready, what skills will set your student up for success, and which early-college credit programs can help you save!

After high school, students typically pursue one of the 4E’s: education, employment, enlistment, or entrepreneurship. Shellie will draw from her experience as a home school parent, college advisor, and strengths coach to help your high school student begin the lifelong task of discovering their gifts, deciding on a direction, and determining their goals.

Surveys have shown that 66% of college students change their majors more than once and on the day of graduation 40% of college graduates wish they had chosen a different major, it's important to start early and take this decision seriously. Individuals often make decisions without much thought and with limited information. Come learn about some practical steps to help students explore options that could possibly impact one of the most important decisions of their lives.

The deception of the Enemy in our modern world seems overwhelming at times, especially for our young people. Is there scientific evidence for God? Does faith deny logic and reason? Chuck tackles these challenging questions and offers solid answers through practical apologetics. Equip your youth using the synergy between scripture, science, technology, logic and reason to stand against the onslaught of deception the world will throw at them.

In this session we will break high-school down into four crucial phases that build on each other, and give you the tools to determine what should be the priority for this next year, how to be career focused (rather than just preparing for college), and even talk about often-overlooked phase that comes after high school .

I never assume all my students are authentic, biblical Christians. The vast majority have grown up in the church and done all the right church things…but that doesn’t make you a Believer any more than standing in a garage makes you a car. My classes are a “safe space” where students can express their doubts, but rarely do they feel comfortable doing that at church, or even at home. Come join me for an open and honest discussion about dealing with any doubts you may have, and how to advance in your Christian journey while sometimes struggling with your faith.
