About me
John Pomeroy is an American animator, producer, writer, and painter. John has been a professional animator for over 50 years. He’s worked on Disney productions such as “The Rescuers” in 1977, “Pete’s Dragon,” and “The Fox and the Hound.” He left Disney in 1979 with his partners Don Bluth and Gary Goldman and started Don Bluth Productions. There he animated and co-produced “The Secret of Nimh, “An American Tail,” “The Land Before Time,” “All Dogs Go To Heaven,” and “Thumbelina.” John returned to Disney in 1992 to supervise animation on the character of Captain John Smith in the feature “Pocahontas.” He also supervised animation on “Atlantis The Lost Empire,” and “Treasure Planet.” John lives with his wife Cami and three children in Brentwood, TN.
